how you want is.... what hurts but gives more support then bent.... you want them locked and curved outward of the palm, its quite hard to explain. but like, hold your hand infront of you (to see) fingers facing up, relaxed, but bent and fingers up.... like you were grabbin a ball slightly bigger than a baseball... then LOCK, NOT FLEX.... LOCK the joints.... that will give you a good shape.... i learned this from a bboy tallen in peoria, IL.. he's done pushups with 3 fingers .. pushups with your feet balancing above ground, but not complete handstand. its a good way to do. hard to get used to, but it gives excellent support
