Are These Powermoves??? -
07-14-2005, 01:24 PM
I was just wondering if any of the following are powermoves:
Back-hand spring
Single Flare (only 1)
*and if single flare is not a powermove, how many flares in a row must to you do for it to be a powermove.
Thanks,
Bboy Kid Ice

one flare is a mini flare=powermove but we already established that so the name for just one flare is a mini flare...unless ive been led to the wrong conclusion...

flare is a powermove yes.... but "one flare" usually means the front of flare.. which is just the easy half of flare which is really no flare at all.

Backhandspring- No
1 Flare- yes
And Jackhammers are advanced power? Ha i thought it was basic power. Right now i feel real confident. I think i'll go battle junior.

just curious... why does it matter if they are powermoves or not? are you gonna go around to people being like: "hey look at my power move *does a flare* yay mamma"?
just curious.

^^^ good point VP. Why can't a backhandspring be a power move? Its good enough to make the girlies drop their skirts!!!

i think power moves are more about the spinning. most bboying stuff, if done right, will drop the skirts. but they need a direction and momentum. i guess.

powermoves are basically moves that can be done in a continueous spin real fast.

Paris - Powermove doesn't mean "impressive move"
As I know it, a powermove is something that uses momentum, gyroscopic and centrifugal forges to keep it going.
Headspins, windmills, backspins, airflares and so on all fall into this category.
Flips don't.
A bboy without style, is like a broken pencil.
There's just no point.
