Offically Teacher Material =D -
04-23-2005, 03:12 AM
So I've been thinkin about teachin some kids to break lately and I finally got my ass up and did it tonite. It was an hour class at a local dance studio. The previous teacher let me sub for him. Anyways, these kids were like 10-13 yrs old, and not bad at all. I went over a basic toprock, coffees, 2step, 3step, and some nice combos. They caught on helluv quick so I put together a lil circle thing at the end. Just thought I'd share that with anyone lookin to teach. It was awesome =D
This one kid said I was better than their regular teacher =D |

To open a break school and teach what do you need? I was also thinking of starting some kind of classes, but I just need some info. Could you ask this teacher what kind of insurance is involved and if you need any coaching degrees. I'm a certified gymnastics coach but I don't know if that helps.
Also congrats on the teaching, thats awesome. |

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA no shit!
I totally agree with you its the sort of thing you need to figure out by yourself. Thats how I started too. But the fact is as long as theres people willing to give me there money to learn tricks, I sure as hell wont complain. |

To Grandmoren, that is a brilliant idea, gettin all the elements in. Kinda tough to teach someone to rap, but otherwise awesome idea. And when you say graffin your talkin bout sketchbook stuff right... otherwise this school better be fairly underground.
