help! no breakdancing for 3 weeks! - 04-04-2005, 05:43 PM

So I'm working on my windmill and I fell on my stabbed arm by accident (crap happens). turns out I bruised my rib and possibly my liver (fun). It hurts like heck. I'm suppose to stay off of everything so it can heel...no breakdancing for 3 weeks. what the heck is a hyperactive bboy suppose to do until then? I crave to dance but I can't...anyone else ever been in this situation?

dang that sux man, those kinda accidents never happened to me before. u can prolly work on ur tops or mabe u can even get into popping

I bruised my rib before, I was supposed to to anything for like 2 weeks for sure.

I wasnt struck my eternal boredom, the world will still go on. And besides, I went out to skate two days after wards.

I've been there once, not as bad... but the same concept.
Broke me big toe, couldn't swing for 4 weeks...Didn't stop me from doing turtles though...hehehe

I fuckd up my knee really bad pretty recently so i couldnt do much tops and footwork and definately no flips. So I've just been working on handstand stuff and turtles. Theres always something you can do, even if you cant do full sets right now. In your case you can still improve your tops and shit, maybe footwork too. like reset said get into poppin. Theres always an answer

when you bruise your ribs...atleast from what I've experienced...the pain goes away in EXACTLY a week...tis strange...btw, just get the fuck over it...I've bruised my ribs 5 times...and 3 of those times i went snowboarding the next day...

awesome. good thinking. I'm just really into baby freezes and chair freezes and such so I'm pissed I can't do that for awhile but yea I could work on my toprocking....

boo hoo, lol. i sprained my right ankle yesterday playing futsal. i can hardly walk without pain. so thats like no toprocking or anything for me. hopefully it goes away soon.

well, just hope you dont do it again. If everybody made a post on how many bruised shoulders and ankles, and sprained ankles they got, this forum would implode.
