extreme back pain and some other random questions -
04-01-2005, 04:12 AM
so, i recently got back to some hardcore practice after being pretty sick. and now when i practice holding my airchairs, my back starts to hurt like a bitch after i hold them for more than 4 seconds. i used to have some sexy 7+ second airchairs. but now it just kills my back. maybe i'm getting fat.
and another question. kinda random. is there a way to get used to the feeling when you do hollowbacks that your head is about to explode? you know, when you hold a big fat hollowback and it feels like youre gonna pop a vein. it's putting a hinder on my 2-leg physics-like hollowbacks. oh and another question. footwork on my fingers? it kills my fingers and my wrists. that's not for me. i can't even six step that way, my fingers weren't meant for that. can you stretch your fingers to get flexible like any other stretch? cuz i know some people with naturally flexible fingers and some people can't bend their fingers back at all (yeah baby, that's me). ehh.. one more question. kinda. some bboys are assholes, dude. so, i went to session at this place, right. and there's this emo-looking bboy who's pretty dope. he's been bboying for like 5 years, and he's way better than me, so i give him his props and all. next i hear from him, he's all talking shit on me and all saying he wants to battle hahah. i'd get smoked, but haha i was wondering if you guys want me to record the battle for kicks? |

Ok i can answer some of these.
Airchairs... 7 seconds? thats friggen dope. I cant help you with that but I just like to say that that is crazy. Ive been getting some backpains aswell. in the lower back region. I dunno what from. And yes, I recently started doing the junior/physix hollows and it feels like theres alot of pressure in my head. my face goes ultra red and it feels funny. It doesnt feel like its gonna bust tho. Maybe you should stop doing them for a while because of your fainting thing.... I cant do footwork on my fingers either. Dont worry about it, Only real hardcore footwork nerds will go "oh shit hes on his palms, wack". If you get good footwork it doesnt matter where your fingers are. Battle for kicks. ![]() |

maybe after awhile you'll get used to the 2 legged hollows, just gotta keep conditioning your body.

finger planche is easy cuz i'm on my tips, i'm not bending my fingers backward. planche is more about finger strength, not flexibility, i guess.

....you get pain from doin footwork on ur fingers??, thats weird, never heard of that, most people i know do it on their fingers and alot of my fav bboys, i think planting hands on ground doesnt look all that good, personal opinion, plus i get a feelin of lightness when i do it on my finger tips and better transitions n stuff.
i duno well, i guess some peeps do it differently depending on how they started off doin there footwork ... ![]() |

DAMN its alot of..............problems you got there Vice President!
The airchair maybe cos you stab directly on the bone or near it? iono Maybe because you aint stretched or something, your veins aren't flexible and then you pull them by doing hollows maybe thats why.............iono either. The fingers hurt probably because your used to the big pressure of planches to your fingers so you can't feel the pain and when you do footwork on your fingers its not enough pressure to get rid of the pain?.................i don't make sense do i? I WANNA SEE THAT BATTLE!! |

Vin Diesel and the Internet - relation? I THINK SO
Vin Diesel invented the internet while trying to steal cable TV. Contrary to popular belief, it was in fact Vin Diesel who invented the internet. Al Gore stole the designs when Vin fell asleep at his keyboard. http://www.4q.cc/vin/index.php |

It was all about attitude, everyone else did the clapping, not the B-Boys."

since i badly dislocated my left ring finger i'll never be able to do footwork on my fingers again... or at least not on my left hand.
But I'd say my footwork has gotten better since then. Making footwork look good is easer on your fingers, but once you've been in the game for a few years you can probably do fine palming it. |
