bout 3 months ago after a series of many injuries and discouragement i kind of stopped bboyin... ive always regretted it but never got back to it... often times id do a little something but never really practice... but now ii really miss it and look forward to getting back to it but no idea how... my buddy (bonez) is graduating from skool and goin off to college soo i wont have anyone to really learn from or break with anymore... im hoping his leaving wont be the end of my bboyin career but i have no idea what to do... i really want too get back to breakin but i have no encouragement to do so... leave some uplifting or encouragin words... i really need it... pece

Yo man I just did the same thing -
I moved from my crew hundreds of miles to the middle of nowhere and just kind of stopped. I started with funk styles instead, which i dont regret. 6 months later here i am ready to go full into bboyin again. Summer is coming, wont it be nice to burn some people! Think of the good points: Fitness Girls Fun 6-pack the only down side is injuries.....but they really arent that bad to be honest. Trust me - i skated for 19 years and i can def say bboyin isn't that bad for injuries if you train slowly and properly. I hope your injury has healed well, dude......dont give up, thats giving in. To quote Reflexion: "the beautiful struggle". |

though this is not directly related to bboying, it has helped many a head out of depression and droughts of motivation:

You want inspiration? About what?
What exactly is the problem? your going to be breakin by yourself? Well lemme tell you something. I have never ever sessioned with other bboys, the most I have done was like 1/2 hour with my crew (which I had never met lol) before a jam. And we won that jam haha. Ive been bboyin for nearly 15 months and everything I have learnt is from this site. Im in no way a pro but Im not shit. Ive got some decent power (flares, barrel windmills, blah..) Its all about practice. You gottta know what you want and practice for it. If bboying without other people is no fun for you then yes, you should quit. If you like bboying no matter what the situation is then you should keep going. E-bboys forever LMAO..... ![]() |
