stupid noob thinking -
01-04-2005, 08:13 AM
arg well i been breakin for 1 and a half years and cause i didnt know crap about directions (cw and ccw) i just did any and it turned out that my power arm is my right arm and i do footwork ccw while windmills are cw and flare is ccw. so basically all my stuff are different directions and is really pissin me off. its annoyin cause i cant link my stuff all in 1 big combo i g2 change directions and stuff which slows the stuff down. but im gonna make all my stuff cw from now on which includes footwork. its gona be hard i guess but itll be worth it.
anyone else got their stuff all muddled up? |

It's pretty common actually.
Everything of mine is ccw, except swipes and twists/tornadoes. It's a pain. Takes a fair bit of work learning to do moves opposite to the way you learned them, but the rewards are immense. Not only can you combo everything, but you now have your moves going both ways, and THAT is good. It could be compared to learning to write with your left hand (assuming you're right handed) - at first it's stupidly hard, because naturally you make all the letter shapes the other way, but it's QUICKER to learn to write left handed, than it was to learn to write in the first place. You already know to do the moves, all you need to do now is learn to do it opposite. Yea, it's going to be tough, but it's not going to be as tough as learning to do them in the first place. Good luck with it. |

nah i can do some footwork the other way but im not as versatile doin it cw and i cant do it very fast cause i cant think of wat im doin. but yeah im basically in the process of changing all the ccw footwork i got to cw. a good example of combos goin one way is mason_boys friend matt. he does a smooth, fast combo with both power and footwork. but i cant do that stuff cause its all messed up but im certain i could have gotten combos lookin similar to that if i had all my stuff goin one way. ah well bak to practice
