Peace to all you catz out there doing what you are doing. Before i enter the meaning of this thread let me tell you catz about this place. About 3 1/2 years ago i visited this site by typing in break or breakdance in the yahoo search engine. This was the site it lead me too and it's been a lot of help in the beginning. Much props to the bboy.org staff. Well like my topic says.....is it in you? When i say that i mean is the passion the ambition the drive to become the illest in you? For most people the answer is yes. I know how it is, can't sleep cause you got a move in your head, you walk into places and check the floor out, you dancin on the line in wendy's practicing your toprock a little. It's all good until you hit that point where you feel whack. Everything you do feels whack, you feel like you ain't prgressing, or you just feel like you ain't never gonna get good at all. Well i'm here to say that ain't true. I've been dancing for 3 years and some months hard, and i've felt that pain of being whack but it was all in my head. It takes years to even understand this dance and master it. I'm still learning and i'll always still be learning. This is something i want to do for a long time, this is something i finally see myself acheiving that is important to me. This is something that gives me my own individuality, style, and personality. I've met a lot of friends and seen a few places. When i dance it's not me your seeing, it's the music and we should all remember WE ARE NOT DANCING FOR ANYONE BUT OURSELVES. Please if your doing this for attention or just to get girlfriends or boyfriends this ain't for you. It's a culture, an art and it should be takin and learned with respect. Do your history while entering this dance and just be yourself. I hope all of you who have the drive and fire in you to become good at what you do suceed, to all the other seeking an easy way out good luck on your journey. I am 13 , and the only bboy around. I do one swipe and everybody goes crazy, pretty funny right?
I remember when i first started bboying, I could flare, airflair, jackhammer, one handed elbow flare, windmill, do 23 head spin taps, halo, airtracks, and double backflips. Now, i finally learned my coffegrinders and how to worm.They took me forever to learn, almost 8 months! |

I feel you UF0...Bboying is a culture, its who I am..Its what makes me happy..I got a girlfriend they old fashion way, and was bboying because I love it, and now she wants to become a bgirl. Yes I'm happy, but I made sure it wasn't someting she wanted to do for me, but for herself.. I LOVE BBOYING..This is going to be a part of my life forever..

i dont dance 2 impress anyone, i do it coz it feels like my second nature but getting those oooohs and aaaaahs from ppl definitely gives motivation.
