HELP!!! Need serious help! So Frustrated! Which way to go??? -
12-17-2004, 01:53 PM
Sup all,
I am getting so frustrated here. I need some help from you. I can never get a solid answer to this question so I am hoping one of you knows or has had a similiar experience. I can do footwork, flares, and 90s all clockwise. Now I try to learn windmills and my body wants to do them counter-clockwise. It feels wierd and I can't even get down on to my back to start if I try it clockwise. Counterclockwise though, I can do one full one. I can also do footwork and flares counterclockwise (not quite as well but no big deal). But 90s feel awkward counterclockwise. It seems that most of my moves naturally want to go clockwise except my mills. I want to be able to go one way with my moves for combo reasons. Please, I need help. Any advice? |

somehow I think if you can't mill you prolly can't do flare either (especially both directions! holy shit that's hard)
I mean I learned 1 1/2 flare before I had mills but eh still but assuming for you have everything you say, this is my advice. your just gonna have to bite the bullet and learn cw mills. even if your footwork CAN go ccw, i'd make mill cw. it makes things easier, I mean I can do my footwork cw and ccw, but it's a lot worse/slower/sloppier if I go cw. the other thing is you only have 1 mill as it is. it's gonna be a lot harder to learn something the other way once you can already do it the other direction. you'd prolly get pissed and just keep doing it ccw. it's probably easier to learn 1 powermove you can't do yet going the direction it doesn't feel natural to than to relearn everything you spent a lot of work for to fit around something else you haven't even gotten down yet. |

I think that is good advice. My flares are crap counter-clockwise and even my footwork isn't as smooth.
Everything else feels natural going clockwise, so I guess Ill just bite the bullet and force myself to learn mills that way too. They just feel so wierd this way!!! Thanks for the thoughts soviet. peace. |

at first, i had flare ccw, and mills cw. when i start learning my flare cw, i thought it would be impossible. now, i can hit flare mill even while i'm asleep. all it takes is practice.
