my Homecoming Dance -
09-26-2004, 04:40 PM
it was awesome, there was this circle, there was two kids who were doing what ever, just some toprock basically, some form of walk, and doing some sort of funk style of something, and i knew one of them, so i was like ok, this should be fun, so i decided to enter in the circle and call them on for kicks, so i get in there while the dude was still doing something, just trying to get him to look at me while toprocking, so i dropped down to some footwork (which i think mightuve just ended up being the 6-step....) did what not, then kipped up landed then did that motion with the fingers like a flick back or something (hard to describe when you dont wanna bother) then the crowd went wild, even when i doing footwork there were going crazy...which i dont get why, if i was only doing the six step..cuz i figured i'll start out easy, then work the way up after they come back in and try to show me up. But then they never came back in, it was funny. and i got props the rest of the night for showing those two guys up.
so moral of the story is..if there is some sort of compition (even crappy c-walkers) the 6step will somehow manage to amaze the crowd....man, the public is so hard/easy to please at times, thats why i usually try resisting, but the situation seemed fun, so i figured i'd go for it. It was kinda wierd, cuz my date said something like i was spinning when i was in there, and my other friend basically said the same thing...but....im 99.9% sure i did no spinning while i was in there.....so perhapes since i was bboying, they just figured i must've done some cool spinning in there while i was at it. |

Bboying is what you make it.

my homecoming dance was tight too, htere were three battles, one battle against my friend, the first one, we requested lets get it started, they didnt have lets get it retarded and it was the closest we wud come to a break beat, so we did, and we formed a HUGE ass circle. i faded him pretty bad, and htan we battled the preps, another battle where we completely fucked them up, it was more of a whose stronger battle nto really a dance battle, and htan teh hip hop dancers, who i think we might of lost to, i didnt do any power, or freezes, and trying to up rock battle a girl is kind of demoralizing, haha, but the crowd knows wats better
