Injury Thread - 09-20-2004, 03:40 AM

This is my wack attempt to try help some ppl out, and get help myself.what i was thnkin, is that, you could mayb put some injurys u got from breakin and how u got them, **to help others prevent gettin the same injury**

ok well i managed to rip muscles in my should and arm at the same time, couldnt move my arm for like 3weeks, then i couldnt put any weight on it for another month
i done that by doing 90's, my hand stopped spinning, but my body kept spinning, twisting my shoulder and arm around more than it could causing it to rip =(

another was pulling 2muscles in my legs, while learnin flares, simply because i didnt streach, steachin is very important^^

does any1 els have anythin to share to help "prevent" injurys?

if you knew you were not going to spin on your hand, why didnt you just bail out? gah that sounds painful man


i dont remember having some injuries. But currently both my ankles hurt. I can still walk, but it hurts somewhat. I dont remember what it was from. Maybe it was from all the landings i do for power. ah oh well

ohh shit i couldnt take it 1 week without breakin

but i cant help u with injurys, they just happen anyway.. i think if u just keep practise this shit wont happen twice

ok to my "current" injurys

i tried windmill on the floor (i had just long training trousers but naked torso) came to the hand glide position ( i was very "wet" :P) and then my elbow hit my rips, i cant even breath without pain .. well nevermind someone found drugs for such situation :P

well my suggestion is, never do millz with naked torso ^^

lol, if you aint got a top on, wont you get friction burns when you milling around?I guess I been kinda lucky, just suffered major bruising,lol.
I was trying pikes in my garden on my grass, when I bailed but I kinda landed elbow down (into the grass!). And then the shock of the bail made the top of my shoulder bounce against my head,lol. So I had a shocked elbow and a shocked head

My shoulder are bruised from windmills....so wheneever i try mills now it hurts lol

i broke a wrist once and fractured the other trying to do a front flip, I tried to land on my butt but my hands hit the ground first... Painfull.

Then I also once did a pike to much on one day and I fell through my elbow, not all the way, but it hurst like hell

just don't do tha same exercise to much on the same day, and warm up your wrist---> very important, wrists are problems with many bboy/girls

i fucke dup my knee by doing kick the moon been bad for about 3 weeks stil breaking tho.

Yeah i've just started right.... and after practicing the 6-step for ages my legs would cramp up and hurt like shin splints but it wasnt shin splints and it wasnt my calf muscle, it was like inbetween them both, you know on the sides?

Well if anyone has that problem i found out what it was. My calf muscles are way too tight, (contracted ALL the time)and now if i dont get them massaged they are just gonna get worse and i'll have meen probs, soo the trick is to stretch properly!!

I have to strap my legs on the sides for extra support and when i finish practice i have to put an ice pack on them and specifically stretch the areas that need stretching. AND deep massage them.

Yeah it really hurts, so if you dont have that problem, i cant stress enough that you need to stretch properly before and after breakin!! And if you DO have a similar prob, i suggest you get a deep massage or physio treatment now before it stuffs you up for life.

lol i did bail out.....but i was spinnin whilst tryin to drop..it didnt work ><

yea i never used to think about ym wrist, but after learnin jackhammers and flares ilv really scrued them up, i take it eazy on them now, streach em relly good b4 a start.

Windmills: Burns on shoulders, and bruises on hips (in the beginning)
1990's: My body rotated but i couldnt get my hand to spin and I jacked my shoulder
Solar Eclipse: didnt bend my elbow enough on a landing and it felt like i nearly popped it out da wrong way, couldnt put to much pressure on it for a week or so.

ill think of summor and add dem on later

hmmm does it? umm how bout torn then? cuz the doc said i ripped- or tore my shoulder/arm muscle's, i had to do psyio for a cupple weeks.


she used sumthin along the lines of tore/ripped, i cant memba but i didnt get surgery. an my mum said da same thing (shes an ambulance officer ) lol but i dunno, ill ask ma.

I dunno, but when i crushed my shoulder, i also pulled a few muscles in it, and the doc said if had pulled em harder and ripped/torn then i woulda needed surgery and wouldnt have been able to use it like i used to again. Thank god i didnt
