jus look around the different forums for guides and vid clips and ish... though if you have the money and your willing to spend it, BUY THE DVD. |

M-Trixx has a very good point.
Online guides and instructionals are all well and good - but the simple fact is this... The MAJORITY of the beginner moves instructional clips on this site are absolutely dreadful, showing bad technique, wrong terminology, and descriptions that contradict the footage. If you are unable to find someone to teach you personally - then the next best thing, is the bboy.org dvd. Having seen a mountain of instructionals in text, photos, clips and videos - I can say with certainty that the DVD here is by FAR the best available. Also consider that it would take SEVEN hours to watch it through - there are instructionals, a masterclass, interviews and battles - worth every penny/cent/rubel/yen/rand/peseta spent on it. (Just to give you an idea of what 7 hours means in front of a TV - it's almost as long as sitting and watching the entire StarWars Trilogy back to back without breaks!) If you have a DVD player - get the DVD - it's really not that expensive - especially considering the quality of what you're buying. |

i never needed someone to teach me, the whole first year i taught myself, didnt know anyone that was a bboy. i learned, then i met people n started to break with them, they gave me advice, an when u break with people that are better than u, u will actually learn faster than u normally would. i had the mike garcia series, it was unfortunate cause it was horrible. i wish that i had gotten somthing else that was better, i would probuably be better right now. definatly get the bboy.org vid. i bet its really good, and definatly a masterpiece compared to the one i bought.

u should learn that yaself, that aint like in school u dont have to do it.. a teachers teaches u all kinda shit and no style .. just watch some videos and try to fake their shit at the begin u will see a chance how to make it look better and suddenly u have style :P
