Maybe its cause your parents arent trying to make a career out of their hobby is why they dont make money out of it.

Im sure each persons hobby makes them happy. But sadly money somehow overrides it.

no, my parents have yet to show disapproval to me breaking. probably cause in the 80s my uncle and his friend used to break and my mom and dad liked watching them, so yea.

ii was thiiiiis klose to makin a thread like this kaus this is my main problem... my mom wont let me go to jams she hates the fact that i bboy... she doesnt like bboyin at all she dusnt want me bboyin... she didnt want me bboyin for what reason? i dont know... when i asked her to go to a jam in my city shes like no i dont want u goin there to roll on the flor to have people laughing at u... ur doing all this foolishness for nothing... i hate her i hate her i hate her i swear!!...... i love bboyin soo much but she's trying to take it away from me... what do i do?

My parents say that breakdancers are drop outs druggies and they always end up in jail. I showed them a clip of a guy who invites me to go break with them then they're like ur not breakdancing it's too dangerous. I also do Martial Arts and I was like Martial Arts is way more dangerous. Last year my friend got knocked unconcious when we were at a tournament and my mom and dad doesn't see that martial arts is more dangerous. I can't go to any invites to practices for two weeks cause she's makin her final decision if I continue or not but if she says I don't continue I'll just break in the house and not go to any jams. It pisses me off soo bad just because when they were young in Africa the breakdancers there always were on drugs and they end up in Jail I was like not a lot of people are like that today. And they always tell me forget about the past.
