Aight yesterday i just got about 4 big boxes to fix up for my first breakdance mat cuz i usally break on a cemeted floor that is painted over. So as i was sayin i got my new mat and i fix it up, and taped it up and eveything. Now im ready to finally have a confortable practice. I did like 10 windmill and i diddnt feel like breakin anymore. so i stoped and my groin was killin me even tho i strecthed real good

I dont know wats goin on. I was so excited but, in 10 mins it felt like, fuck it i dont feel like doin this. This happened in the day time by tha way.

Ok it was about 2 i tha moring and im on bboy.org. I get this feeling when i put music on. I feel like i wanna break. so i turn it up a bit and brought my mat out to break. Now this was alot better then before. I was likin every momnet and wanted to do more. My mom woke up and told me to go to sleep. I was pissed.

Now my point is y do i feel like im so bored when i break in day time but i night i feel pumped up and everything. Maybe its tha music or maybe its my family starin while i Try to practice.

does this ever happen to anyone else or gimme some help here

I like to break at night too, but for other reasons. I dun know really what your prob is maybe you need adrenaline. Maybe you need friends that practice with you that just sit there and tell you how much you suck, cause i get that alot. But the people who are seriously better than me dun rub it in.

I suggest you get some guys who think they can do better. So you have some motivation.

maybe youre just a night owl. I know I am. I'm much more attentive and energetic at night. I'd just practice at night if I were you. gotta be someplace in your house or outside where you wont bother anyone. put your mat in the garage or on the pavement. get a little boombox, and youre good to go. I've done it before.

The daytime, I don't really have the urge to practice. But at nighttime, the urge gets intense. Obviously, being at night and everyone's sleeping, my common courtesy sense got the best of me.

I'm a night person. I'm much more awake during the night. Being as nocturnal as I am, I tend to become focused and my mind becomes clear as well. But during the day... I just wish I could've got that extra hour of sleep.

Really though, man. I know exactly how you feel. I usually watch clips of all these b-boys breakin' it down with style, and that'd get me pumped up. Because it'd show me that I had a long way to go to be original. I had a long way to go to actually begin to "freestyle" my moves.

Yeah, and I put that energy into good use. At one o'clock in the morning. And I felt good. Until my bro's were all mad with the quarterly-loud music.

Hm. I just wish that now that it's summer, I can displace that energy into the bright, sunny day. Instead of the gloomy, spooky night.

same here, maybe we just need to get to bed earlier or maybe coz its warm in the day and that makes you less active and at night its fun coz its cooler and you get to warm yourself up

hahaha mannnn same here dude. I think its a universal thing where we want to bboy at night, esp outside under a street lamp no? haha its how this developed i guess too much light can affect bboying and how much u want it.

I think alot of bboys wanna break at night . . . theres just something about breaking at night i dont kno what it is maybe its the thrill of it jus being night but i kno that when im sitting at my comp or in my room and im listening to music i go crazy with the urge to bboy, its even gotten so bad that i just bust out poses or footwork in my room (not as easy as it sounds my room aint big) but its deff cool to kno that alot of other bboys out there get the same kinda urge.
