Wierd Learning Order? -
07-08-2004, 11:33 AM
OK, there is NO way that I can do a baby freeze but when I try to do an invert, it took me about 10 minutes to learn it. ?????
Also, something feels wrong with this move list: -Mill (perfecting, my feet drag a little sometimes on my 3rd rotation) -Invert (perfecting, need slightly more balance) -6 step (need more flow/speed) -Toprock (need some style) and that's all I can do. What should I work on now? I've been bboying 1 week |

Stop thinking of bboying in terms of moves and just dance.
And I'd suggest re-evaluating your mill technique if your "foot drags" .. if you're doing proper mills, you should be able to do infinitely many short of passing out, getting too dizzy, and/or throwing up. They're not like flares where it takes a shitload of effort to keep going .. it takes practically *no* effort to keep going, if, as just said, you're doing them right. Good work, though. That's pretty good for one week. |

i don't think i really got the mill in 1 week cause when I attempt it in slow motion, I can do the same exact thing but by using a shitload of ab strength (hurts my stomach a lot) so I think maybe I am doing it wrong? cause don't you need a lot of momentum to do a mill

OK. For footwork...
I learned the 3 step, 4 step, 6 step, and 12 step. How do I add variations? Cause unlike toprock variation it didn't come naturally to me w/ practice, I have no idea how to start adding style to footwork. BTW, about my mill... no, i haven't learned it, I suck, you guys shouldn't think i am good, after looking at some of the clips i realized it was a fake mill and my legs were all wrong. But i'm working on it and i'll get it down soon. Right now I am at the point where my legs slide on the floor after 1 1/2 rotations, I think I am stabbing wrong but oh well I'll get it soon. |
