My Plan for a dance compitition

in June, im going to this church program. And they have a dance compitition there. to get choosen for the compitition you have to dance and the counsolers go around and choose people. So i was thinking to get in i would do like turtles, and hand glide (being thoughs are the only two power things i can do at the moment). Then hopefully i get entered into the comp, which is judged by the crowd. I would do basically purely footwork, and Toprocking type of stuff. Im doing this to try to see how the general public re-act to footwork, besides the 'what the crap is he doing'

How well do you think this plan will work about getting at least somewhere in this dance comp?

run in there and dance. Dont jst do your power stuff, go in there and dance. Add hella style and be creative. Do it and catch their attention.

You talking about EFY? lol those zoobies don't know crap about dancing. Whatever you do will impress them. Do lots of toprock and footwork, but yeah put in a little power so they know whats up.

ya ya, its EFY. Plus it might give them something else to see besides windmills, especially since i can't do more than one yet

lol, no, no EFY for me. I'm going to Provo on Wednesday though. MTC. Then to Peru in 3 weeks. But I was at BYU for 2 semesters, so I know what lots of the kids are like, and none can dance. When we did shows they were cheering for my turtles. One of our boys did flares and they went crazy.

if u dont bust any power or at least some good freezes ur'll get booed off, i lve style and all but it looks boring and shit unless u dont add at least some freezes, usually my routines consist of footwork power and end wit a freeze... but yeah daz da way to go

it seems as though bboys and bgirls appreciate style but wen performing in front of a crowd they tend to just cheer for the power moves like every body goes crazy as soon as some1 pops a headspin, they dont understand real bboyin

but really people dont only love power...even normal people. i went to a school dance and hit a circle and did all style and footwork all night and i got props...i didnt even hit freezes. people afterwards told me they thought it was nasty cuz they couldnt see what my legs were doin. if thats not enough try to download the clip of dyzee and jessefecks on rikki lake. those people were watchin all style and loved it...why? because it was good

Well friday, there was a Dance/Stomp at my school. Before i went i sessioned for about 40min so that way i would be to tired to bust anything at the stomp. After while some rap song is getting played, and some of my friends made one of thoughs small small circles where you have no clue how they expect anybody to moves in 'em. Well they started doing something, dont ask me what, but it was kinda annoying, so i went in like pulled a freeze or so. I get out, then i went in again to pull a freeze, then i fell out of it or something, so once i hit the ground i couldn't help but bust out some footwork. Then like today, my friend was like man, that was way awesome and a tid bit more stuff. So there is hope to get far in a dance compitition judge by the general public with basically only doing footwork.

i dont know about doing turtles and stuff or any power moves at a church compettion, People tend to be confussed by what they dont understand. Like if i did i hollowback in front of other bboys they'd be like nice but in front of my parents they'd be like whats this r we raising a clown. ALL i can say is do whats in ur heart this is me trying to be sensitive. LOL AT my bad spelling

haha...when I do hollows infront of my mom she says wow and if I do em good infront of my dad he tells me how good they are...

anyways, do some footwork then link it into turtles then go back to footwork and try to bust some nice freezes...people love nice freezes...

haha when i practice anything in front of my parents, they just give me weird looks, like what the crap is my son doing type of looks, then they are like, uh....good job.......??

Well, im back. This is how it went. Sucky. When i went to have the crowd cheer, i had to go in with another guy, plus they didnt give us enough time to do anything! So i basically only had time to toprock.

But when i went out to see how the crowd liked for for the judging, i did the bending backwards, i guess i got pretty low to ground. then like the next dance (theres 2 for the week) i was walking around, and i saw some kids trying to bend backwards, it was kinda funny. But ya, the whole no time to do jack really was annoying, plus i wasnt able to do the combo i had all planned out, i kinda forgot, then went right to my footwork, then had to sit back down.
