Just a side note to those that are wondering...

Though it's not required, I recommend hitting up the gym and working your muscles and limbs out. It definitely helps out your bboy - not just in power, but in style.

But that might be just me...

The strength of your windmills does not necessarily come from your legs alone... it has alot to do with your hip motion.

Anyways, a good physique never hurts to have for when you dance.

Well obviously working out improves your body, however strength training is not nessesary for b-boyin, or power moves in bboyin. If you practise and practise well, you will gain the strength very quickley to do anything you need to do. 6 months of b-boying, will make you cut like wood.

The concept being:

Your body develops and adjust to the activities you do. Weight lifters have lifter bods, basketball players have bball player bods... and dancers have dancing bods. It isn't necessary, but lifting weights - not just separate weights, but body lifting (pushups, pullups, dips) - can strengthen your ability to dance more.

Just make sure you don't end up like the Hulk...

uh, i dont think it adjusts to one acitivty like 'basketball players have bball player bods' i play basketball and breakDANCE so i cant have two different bodies..lol.. i think the strenght of a person contributes to all activites that he/she does not just one.

by the way, not sure if you meant more than one activity in your post engyn

The concept behind what I was discussing was that, when one conducts in a particular activity for a period of time, their body begins to adjust to it... allowing them to dance or play bball or whatever for much long than one who's not accustomed to that activity.

Take this for example. I can dance for hours on end... my longest practice session was over a 6 hour period. But throw me on a track to run a couple miles and I get winded after 2 miles. The idea is... your body, muscles, and limbs work more efficiently after constant training.

LOL, you know what I mean. Of course it encompasses all the activities... I didn't mean it literally specifically one type of body.

LOL.

Vin Diesel and the Internet - relation? I THINK SO

Vin Diesel invented the internet while trying to steal cable TV.

Contrary to popular belief, it was in fact Vin Diesel who invented the internet. Al Gore stole the designs when Vin fell asleep at his keyboard.

arfen i lift everyday and never get sore. ppl who usually get sore are ppl that dont keep up with liftin at a good schedule or dont lift wight their body can actually handle. i even lift after bboy session and adjust the wieght so that i work out but not too hard. doin abs really helped wid mills and turtles, military press and back head pullups with handstands
