This is to EVERYONE....
First of all, if your going to post something that doesnt belong IN word up, at least be original as not to piss off anyone or annoy people. A good example of this, is the story games...while one story idea was good and the 6 word story, limited the number of words n made it original, finding 4 word or 2 word stories is OUT OF CONTROL.
LOOK around the board, finding 5 threads in a day about the shoes people wear is kinda OUT OF CONTROL, and I'm going to enforce this very harshly if I'm on the site. If your going to spam, at least dont be an annoying lil follower, contribute, AND if ur going to spam, do something original so that its not annoyin.
No one is innocent of spamming, myself included, but to increase post count, u dont see many of us going, hm...theres story threads, so ima make one with 1,2,3,4,5,6,etc....words...thats PATHETIC. And repeat threads, such as 1+3=bitch...one of those was a nice brain teaser, coulda put the second one right back in there.
The point of this is LOOK around the board, no point in repeat threads BACK TO BACK!!! Let alone finding 4 threads u coulda said in one, its sorta like iming someone and saying, hi, how, are, you, all in different IM boxes. Enough is enough people

Beginners giving beginners tips without understanding what they are saying is probally one of the worst ways to spread KNOWLEDGE.....which is the key to anything in life.

Right on Anubis, gonna sticky this for a few days.
As for story threads they shouldn't even be in Word Up. That's what the general forum was created for right? Games and topics like that. And Word Up is strictly for Bboying RELATED topics.
So...
-SEARCH for already created threads similiar to the topic you're trying to initiate
-LABEL the thread as elaborately as possible(try to avoid titles like: What do you think? or help please, or how long?) so as to let the readers know WHAT they're going to be reading about before wasting their time reading threads uniteresting to them. How long what? Help with WHAT? What do we think about WHAT? Know what I'm saying?
-PLACEMENT is KEY. Got a question about music, post it in the DJ FORUM. Wanna know where the bgirls in Canada are? Post your thread in the HOOK UP forum. Need tips on windmills? Post it in the MOVES forum. It helps the mods tremendously.
-TRY to avoid serious spammage. I mean it's cool to be silly and have fun with it, but some posts are just relentlessly pitiful.
-THINK before you post. Try to get your point across thoroughly. Explain what you want to know or what you're getting at and try not to be rude or put people down or make derogatory comments. There's a lot of younger kids on the site who really look up to some members around here as a source of inspiration and I've seen a lot of comments, avvys and threads that were really hurtful/spiteful or just plain disrespectful.
Also, if you have something else to add to a post you JUST wrote, there a little icon called EDIT. Add your comment that way instead of posting one after another after another.
Keep it clean.
