Well is there? I have browsed through some topics concerning this and the general viewpoint is that you're a poser/biter and you do not represent the history or culture of bboying. But then I wonder if anything is wrong with showing the world your hard worked skills. I have been thinking of this question for some time, what is your opinion about this topic?

I believe the general outlook on most post, is theres nothing wrong with making some money doing what you love to do, but if you portray it false, or sell out, jsut to make a buck or too, thats what people have a problem with.
Someone doing what they love at a club, getting sited by a producer asked to be in film, which gets picked up a major corp, and he gets paid.. he didn't intend that, he was jsut doing what he loves... thats ok... But if someone changes everything they stand for, leave there friends, commercialize the dance strictly to earn a buck, thats wrong. |

yeah nothign wrong about it but u probably will make more money working at mcdonalds, unless ur really good but still many good crews aren't really wealthy breaking is something u cant really make much money off because not many people will pay money to breakdance, unless it was for a commericial but even still its not going to be much, i seriously think most (and by most i mean like 99 out of 100)serious breakers who try to break for a living wont be successful

with every business u can't expect to make a profit on only one single entity u have to diversify. Da profit dat b-boys will make is basically on videos n products they sell. U see peeps wit sites dat sell dere inventory n den dey become affiliated with other b-boy sites or sponsorships dats how u make ur loot. Da best way to do dat is u kno u got ur own forum where peeps can ask questions about ur video n stuff n all u gotta do is order it online n ups or fed-ex will send it. Dere r many ways u can make loot u just gotta be business smart. N not many b-boys r business smart. I mean u can be real n still make money naw mean. Its all about self-marketing.

It's quite alright to make money from breakin' afer all bboys gotta eat too. It's ok as long as you don't sell out on bboying. As a matter of fact Mr. Wiggles has a checklist on his website for up and coming bboys who want to make a business of what they do ,stuff like getting paid for perforances , how to promote yourself as a bboy , taking out adds making flyers , etc.

according to this site...anyone who is on TV and breaking/popping isnt representing the culture correctly...your supposed to sit in your backyard and keep to yourself..and then (only then) are you a true bboy....thats according to this site...

I don't think there is anything wrong with being famous and make lots of money because of bboying.. that's if you stand true to the culture like what the peeps above said. And yeah, please call it bboying when u go public, instead of breaking.

lol
hahahaha that was funny (smooth criminal post) um......i think what smooth criminal means is that people tend to rip u up a lot on this site for anything "that does not represent the true culture of bboying". I mean i just said breakin and this guy on the thread is like "And yeah, please call it bboying when u go public, instead of breaking." If anything moddie i'm sorry for not representing "the true culture of bboying" for saying breaking ![]() |

A bboy without style is like a leprechaun's penis. Wait, I lost my train of thought.
"The scrotum must pass through fire, else you will bear children." It must be your brain, cause your seminola doesn't squidge that way. "Only reason people can't dance with flow is because they have not been molested by a skunk." |
