When breakin/poppin who do ya'll represent? -
01-21-2004, 04:06 PM
Just wanna know when ya'll break or pop who do ya'll represent? For me i represent a higher power none other than God himself. I giver him the honor because of the fact that if it weren't for him i wouldn't have talent feel me? I represent him first always. There is really nobody else to represent because I ain't part of a crew or what have you. I'm solo but hope one day maybe form my own dance crew.Till then I represent God, me, and Bridgeport where i reside. I got plans for the future in this and feel compelled to do so cause if you have a gift why wast it? IF YOU DON'T USE IT... YOU LOSE IT. That's one of my favorite quotes i use cause it's mad true. Peace and love ya'll

Although the same goes for me; I represent myself, I also represent who I am, where I come from, and things that I might have seen or experienced. That in itself is it's own package and I think it's important to keep in mind.

I represent Breakdance as a culture. The bboys and girls that invented new moves, that built it all up. Never forget where it's comin from.

Good to see another Christian bboy who doesn't segregate dance and beliefs. Props
![]() I always thing "repping" sounds horribly cliché, but still... Jesus. Me. My crew. |

Thankx for ya'lls input on the subject. Most people do only represent themselves but you never know when someone else might have different reasons why they bboy/pop. It's all good though. Glad to see somebody else as a christian who bboys though. Thought i was the only one. Speakin of which a yo STIFF you part of the international churches of Christ? Just wonderin. Peace and love ya'll

I ain't gonna act like breaking is such a high, honorable thing, ya know? It's a dance style, and I practice often and do it to the best of my ability. But I'm not trying to represent anything special, I just go out there and have a good time. I just represent the act of keeping it real.

"real": doing what you enjoy just for the sake of enjoyment.
Something like that. |
