keep in mind there's a big difference between muscle and strength
inner strength is what it takes...having huge bicepts isn't going to do anything for you in a circle |

major trix has it right, most power moves, do not take muscle at all. Ive seen some of the skinniest kids with no muscle have some of the best power moves because they can control their momentum really well.
You can really tell the diffrence between doing a move, and powering your way through the move with muscle. |

"it takes two to tango"
heh, just kidding... actually, flares and swipes take more balance than strength... when i started doing flares, i couldn't bench my own weight (since i didn't work out with weights back then)... now i can bench close to 100 pounds over my body weight and i see close to no difference in my flares/swipes, other than the fact taht i've gotten better since i've practiced them over and over and over... heh, the point is that being stronger won't help you in that sence... |

Strength is not necessary if you have good mechanics while performing your moves. But it doesn't hurt to have both.

muscles dont matter when breakin, only in some moves, but 90% of the time you dont need it. but it doesnt hurt to havem.

Russian, the reason you are skinny is becauseof growth spurts. i grew 5 inches in one year, and i was so skinny i looked anorexic. now that my growth spurt stopped, i started to gain a ton of muscle really fast. i gained 3 pounds last week.
lol to Rapsure. i do that all the time, but i think pushups are better, even though those work triceps more. |
