$100 for business cards?
I've got to say that doesn't look too cheap to me. Shop around local printing companies. |

Just realiesd - 5000 business cards? - daaaamn!
You'd better hope you don't need to change phone numbers for about 10 years after you buy them. |

You have to realize it's the quality of the printing your paying for and if you call all your local print shops you probably won't find anyone cheaper for that quanity and quality.
Your business is only as serious as you take it. $100 is pocket change for 5,000 full color doube sided UV Coated cards. Or you can pay $25 every time you want 500 crappy paper, black & white business cards. Shop around, you'll see. |

you say its the quality that your paying for...but quality is based on opinion. i can make my own business cards using powerpoint and card stock paper and a lot of the people who see it, if i design it well enough, will think its a high quality business card.

If you want to compare 12 pt. UV Coated, Double Sided printing to anything you can print at home, you probably don't know much about the world of professional printing.
And that could be your opinion, but if you compare both items in your hand, NOBODY would think you've got the higher quality product. Try printing even 1,000 cards at home on good quality paper, front & back. It will probably cost you about the same or more and take hours of work. |

Okay - Less money doesn't necessarliy mean poor quality. Personally, when I get handed a super glossy business card, I think they are kinda tacky.
Add to that the fact that the service on the site does not include any working on the design - it's purely printing costs. So you've got to add that on top. Anyway fuck it - I ain't about to get into some stupid argument over the pros and cons for professional business card and flyer design versus the more underground and traditional hand design budget approach. All I can say, is that the ONLY business cards I've come across that have made me go WOW! are ones that were hand-made, by the person handing me the card. |

word - i think handmade would make me think that they cared about what it was about and a glossy one would just make me think that they had too much money going on the cards.
