Moochy, I think you are the only one who doesn't like Lord Of The Rings. I think it is the best movie ever made. It is just totally awesome. I don't get why you don't like it. I'm so hyped for the third movie to come out. I loved The Two Towers, especially the battle scene. That was the dopest part. The part when the tree runs into the river when he's fire was really funny. Aww......man..... I just gotta see the third movie.

Can't wait. I'm a huge fan of tolkien and the movies. It's one of the few adaptations from book to movie that actually succeeded in getting the story across well without butchering the theme, the action, and the characters (i.e. Jurassic Park)

the first one was, admittedly, relatively boring to those who dun know anything abt the books. The second is totally awesome. The battle of helms deep was whack, and to think that battle is small compared to the siege of gondor, which would b featured in the third film.
the book is a must-read. and its fun watching hugo weaving as elrond. "why dosnt elrond duplicaye himself, get the oracle's eyes and kick sauron's ass?" |

everybody seem to be so obsessed with LOTR. I reckon the books and the film are quite amusing but there are a whole bunch of authors that were better that Tolkien.
Anyone ever heard of Joseph Zelazny? "The Chronicles of Amber " ? I really hope some of you read or hear about it. If you didn't... This might be the best book (series of em) that you'll ever read in your life. < "You really mean that, don't you?" "Yes." "Yourself included?" I smiled. "Of course it does not apply to me. I am the soul of honor, kindness, mercy, and goodness. Trust me in all things." >> The Guns of Avalon, Chronicles of Amber from Corvin's conversation with Dara. <<"The Logrus," she said, "will lead you to greatness." I continued to stare. "What sort of greatness?" I asked. "What sort do you desire?" "I don't know that I ever wanted greatness, on its own. It seems rather like wanting to be an engineer, rather than wanting to design something--or wanting to be a writer, rather than wanting to write. It should be a by-product, not a thing in itself. Otherwise, it's just an ego trip." >> Prince of Chaos, Chronicles of Amber |
