No, hip hop is a culture.
Rap is the music of that culture. Anything that needs to be considered "hip hop music" by MTV and shit is most likely pop. Like J-Lo is considered "hip hop" half the time. The truth being that she uses elements of rap to produce pop music. There isn't one or the other; more they are one in the same. |
