If you are new to the boards, and want to know anything from terminology to technical stuff, this is the place for you.

First, some guidelines.
1> Be nice. Don't be agressive, abusive or deliberately insulting to people. If you are doing this, your posts will be deleted, and you could possibly be banned from the site.

There are all kinds of people who use this forum, male, female, young and not-so-young. So as such you must keep your posts suitable for all these groups.
This is a forum dedicated primarily to bboying, and also to funk-styles and graffiti.
Keep it relavent.
Porn, scantilly clad girls or guys, nasty pictures, etc. are NOT acceptible.
DO NOT put anything, that will offend or upset people on here.
Just as important, do not put links to sites that contain this kind of stuff.
This is serious - and this is one of the rules that will have your account banned pretty quickly should you break it.
3> Don't SPAM.
If you don't have something worth saying, then please, don't make a post (or worse a thread) about nothing.
If you have a comment to make to ONE person, then send them a Private Message or an email.
4> Don't make new threads every 5 minutes.
If you want to ask a question, then take a look through the first few pages of the forum and see if someone else has alrady asked it. (even better - use the "Search" link at the top of the page) If you can't find an aswer,
then think about making a new thread.
Just an additional not here. If your search turns up a thread, before you post in it, check the date it was posted on. Anything more than a month or so old really isn't worth bringing up. If you search and only find threads dating back more than a month, then feel free to start a new one.
5> Graffiti, Rappers/MC's, and DJ's. there is a separate board for these things, use them.
6> Looking for people in your area?
Use the HOOK UP board.
7> Need to "name that tune"?
If you know a website, or a video with a track in it and you just HAVE to know what it is, then post in the DJ/Music board.

How do I learn to breakdance?
The best way to learn, is for someone to teach you in person. But since that isn't always possible, there is a section of this forum dedicated to learning new moves.
Go to the MOVES SECTION board and read the guidelines there for more on getting started.
Are there any good videos I can learn from?
Yes, there are a few.

Learn to breakdance with Wil*Power is a well known instructional, and I believe it was advertised on MTV.
The only problem is, it is AWFUL, the terminology used is wrong, and it's a waste of money. Don't buy it.
The videos on this site and the DMC ones are some of the best around.
How do I get the little picture some users have under their name?
It's called an avatar.
If you want one of these, click on the "User CP" link just under the graffiti at the top of the page.
Go to Edit Options and click the CHANGE AVATAR button at the very bottom of the page.
There you will see "use custom avatar" with a "Yes" option next to it. Click "YES" and then either put an adress for an avatar you want to use from another site, or choose an avatar from your own computer using the "Browse" button
Once you have chosen your avatar, click "Submit Modifications" and you're done.
How do I change what it says under my name?
This is called your "Custom User Text"
Click on the "User CP" link just under the graffiti at the top of the page.
Go to Edit Profile.
About half way down there is a custom User Text section. Type what you want it to say into the "New Title" box.
Click the SUBMIT MODIFICATIONS button at the bottom of the page, and you're done.
How do I change my signature?
The bit of text some users have under each of their posts that is the same after every post they make is their signature.
If you feel you have something you want after every post you make, then click on "User CP" at the top of the page.
Go to Edit Profile.
About half way down the page is a "Signature" section - type what you want your signature to be into the box in that section.
Click the SUBMIT MODIFICATIONS button at the bottom of the page.
Please, Keep your signature short. Anything more than a few lines and it makes threads difficult to read and won't win you any favour with other users.
Why does it say my inbox is full?
Sometimes your inbox will be reported as full (you will usually recieve an email to notify you)
You need to delete unwanted messages from your inbox, but also remember to clear your SENT ITEMS box regularly too.
Sent items that have been saved count towards your total.
What does the graffiti at the top of the page say?
You'd be surprised how many people ask that.
The yellow+blue one on the left says "CAN TWO"
The pink+blue one on the right says "ATOM"
How can I change my username?
In short, you can't.
If you don't like your username, all you can do is register a new name using a new email adress.
You will lose all the changes you have made to your profile and your post-count will start again at zero.
How do I become a Moderator?
This is in the hands of the Gods.
Being a moderator has nothing to do with your rating or the number of posts you have.
If you play an active part on the boards, if you come across as someone who should be a moderator, and if the owner of the site decides there should be another mod, then maybe, just maybe you'll get the part.
