I saw Matrix Revolution!
Scheez what a shitty movie Now, dont think that Im judging it. I wasnt expecting ANYTHING when I watched it, I knew that the concept was played out already when I saw the second movie. ANYWAY, here is my very own short review of this movie (which of course contains spoilers, dont read íf u dont want to miss out on the non-existent surprise events of the movie) (very brief) SUMMARY The movie takes off where the second ended (DUH!) and Neo is found lying in on a train station, acting as a middlething between the matrix and the real world. WTF, its all stereotyped and painted green and white, and he seems more than a little out of place. Events are further complicated when he realizes there is no escape, which of course is fixed later by trinity who coerces the French guy from movie2 to release him. Next important(?) scene in order is the much awaited Battle of Zion, a 30 minute special-effects-orgy. Much much muchos patriotism and bravehearth-biting extraordinaire, with small men in humoungous armor suites screaming "FOR ZION!!!" as they for 10 minutes straight (no im not bullshitting) fire at the SAME DAMN SPOT. The spot in question happens to be the hole in the roof from which the machine sentinels are oozing out like some giant snake thing, dying like flies. For 10 minutes. Geez. In the end however the machines break thorugh and the battle gets somewhat entertaining, but all the heroic hypocrazy made me lose the appetite for my popcorn. UGH. And of course, at the end of it, when the last howevercraft wih Niobi, Morpheus and the gang (except for Neo and trinity who took another hovercraft to the machine city) comes in the last second and blows off a EMP finishing the machines the Wachowski brothers pull off a genious little HAHA-tricked-yall event and ruin the whole vicotry business by sending in 10 times as many machines out off nowhere (I dare anyone to count the number of machines in the movie). Ummm...Back to the cavern (where they had the trance party in the second movie) and make a last stand. Wow. Meanwhile, we get to follow Neo and trinity on their journey to the machine city. On the way Bane (the machine-human-guy from the second movie, u kno, the one whogets absorbed by smith and then sent home) Burns Neos eyes away (it looks pretty awfull actually, scarriest part in the movie) but off course super-Neo becomes a machine-telepath and can see the machines with sum kind of energy-vision. wow. Wither way Bane dies and they reach machine city, they crash, and Trinity gets pierced by a dozen metal rods. However, as in all deep movies, she manages to pull of a 10 minute "I love you and I always will" speech before she dies, one of the cheeziest events in movie history. After this shocking occurence Neo walks out to machine city to have a word with the machines, represented by a giant Concubine with a human face. wow. They come to an agreement: Peace if Neo can eliminate smith (who absorbed the whole matrix). Said n done, Neo figths smith and wins and BAM. Nuff said. The movies end by a lot of crying and a sunrise and Neo dissapears and Morpheus DOES NOT make out with Niobe, probably the biggest dissapointment in the movie. IS IT REALLY THAT BAD? Hell no, it does what its supposed to, entertain. And dont u for one second think that the Wachowskis had an Oscar in mind when they wrote the script. THE ACTING Same as always, everybody does their part, its classic. The issue is Neo (Keanu Reeves). Reeves is probably the most static actor in existence, and I realized that in the whole trilogy he has a maximum of 3 facial expressions. Hm. Actually I think a wooden board with a mad-face on it would be more fluent. WHatever. THE VERDICT An ok action movie, with that epic matrix-feeling. Hardly worth watchin tho. Anyone else c it? What did yall think? |

"GRAFFITI IS AN ART, AND IF ART IS A CRIME, HOW COME PICASSO NEVER DONE TIME"
Cavemen did it, so did Romans and Egyptians. The Incas did it, so did Greeks and Native Americans. There was graffiti on the New York subway a year after it was built. There`s graffiti on the moon. If graffiti is vandalism, and vandalism is graffiti, then man has left his mark with garbage at the farthest reaches of the universe. So you with your pathetic desire to be remembered are in good company. I could spend a ream of paper telling you about the development of modern graffiti, but we`ve got other ground to cover. It`s important that you know it, so ask your local expert (or DJ Deadly Budda in Pittsburg if you don`t have one) and he`ll tell you his version. |

if you didn't get the Matrix Revolution then something is wrong. the movie was ok personally. i thought the love scenes and the lines that they were going to say were predictable but the action was kiss-ass good.

the thing I didn't get about Matrix Revolutions was that there are so many philosophical explainations about the outcome of the film.
I guess the only parts I don't get are whenever the Architect and/or the Oracle open their mouths. Their lines were the ones that leave the film up to different interpretations. |
