Shoes for breaking - 11-03-2003, 10:48 PM

What are some really good shoes for breaking? I was using some Adidas, but they are really for track & field. I need a pair for strictly dancing. Also, does anyone know some other really good bboy sites other than this one and style2ouf?

i like my shoes to be thin and light..thats just me though..some people like to break in heavier shoes but it makes me feel sloppy

New Balance is a great breakin shoe though..if your lookin to go light..and you canget a pair for a pretty good price..compared to other brands out right now

I am new to breaking, but I already have an idea of what shoes work and dont. If anyone has a used sporting goods shop around them, thats a great place to find some old running shoes (new balance are great) that have been worn down a bit. I like shoes that are broken in, and wicked light. I started out trying to break with some old adidas, but they were too heavy and I dont tie em up.

shelltoes make it feel like the shoes is pressing down on your foot..or maybe it's just me.

saucony jazz..amazing shoes. try running in them, it feels like you have springs in the toes. good for tops, took a little getting used to for footwork again, but after a couple times it felt natural. definately check these shoes out. i'll post a picture when I get home of mine if anyone is too lazy to look it up..hah

Pumps man.....those were the SICKEST for breakin'......was like wearin' a cloud.....unfortunately, they went out with the beginning of the 90's, and they sure as hell don't last 10 years.....lucky to find a single pair nowadays. So now, I prefer anything hi-cut for breakin', but if I'm not specifically breakin', I'd go for lowcut....since I find basic dancing (like toprocking) and especially floating is more difficult with hi-cut shoes.

When some one's throwin' punches, it won't make a difference whether or not you can windmill, or hit a clean tutting angle.
