Unhappy Severe Forearm pain - 10-05-2003, 11:44 PM

Before starting to break again, I ended my weight training abruptly, but I still continue with basic exercises (ie. push ups, situps, dips, chins, etc.). I also used to crack my wrists a lot for about 2 months. When I do my 6-step I get a radiating pain in my forearms, everything else with my body is fine. Does anyone have any ideas on how to minimize this pain?

Thanks.

let me say something about weights. I used to go hard for my rugby, but don;t do bench press. I got a screwed up wrist from bench press, pressing too heavy a weight, holding the bar too close to my fingers, my wrist is bad. i went to the physio the other day and she told me it was most likely from the bench press exercies. Weights can screw you up, i haven't got a plast but i'm heavily bandaged and will be for the next four weeks.

Just rest it for two weeks, ice it after every training session, don't screw it up by taking it too far when it's not ready. rest is the key.

it's all in the weights you've been doing. Doing the preacher curl for your biceps is bad for the forearms, your pain is from the weights you've been doing, stop and rest and it will be fine.
I had the same thing, but i rested from bicep exercises for a while and i recovered fine, but beware..........of the bench press.
