That is, pens and cans.

word stiff...we got too many paperboys running around...I'm not saying i'm any good with cans or anything, but hell, at least I get up..I'm nearly out of decent spots though, I've got to find new shit to hit...and since I can only go out during broad daylight it kinda limits what I can pull...
Graff, Bboying, Popping, and that's about it. I'm in the FRS, but that's not emceeing, it's text.

Ok... um thnx muffin for quoting that paticular phrase.
If y'all want to be schooled - bboy stands for bronx boy, break boy, or boogaloo boy. Now, this refers to both breakdancing and popping/locking/tutting/w.e, k? So in other words, to seperate the individual dance ur forced to use the word breakdancing. Which isnt actually a bad word in itslef unless u give bboys the term breakdancers... which just shows the utmost disrespect to the bboys as well as the culture. Refering to the actual dance as breakdancing isnt relly bad cuz thats wat it is - dancing to the breaks in music. Now unless u got sumthing decently intellectual to say shut ur mouth, aight?
Personally, I pop, lock, strobe, wave, "breakdance", write graff, emcee, and beatbox.

If you're gonna talk about schooling - come correct.
It doesn't stand for bbogie boy, or bronx boy.
BBoy stands for BREAK boy - nothing else.
And it does NOT refer to popping, locking etc.
They had been in existance for over 5 years before the term BBoy was coined.
It's not okay to group them under one dance, or one name.
A bboy breaks.
A popper pops.
A locker locks.
If you want to umnbrella them - they are all a part of a loose underground dance scene, but they aren't the same.
A bboy without style, is like a broken pencil.
There's just no point.

GRAFF
beatbox
popping and locking
emcee'ing
Think about it, you have writers learning the ins and outs of entire transport systems, risking serious injury even death, arrest and criminal records that would limit your opportunities for the rest of your life, for what? To simply paint a picture, does this seem logical to you? If the answer is no then it is most likely that you don’t fathom the idealism behind graffiti.

Murda - things don't change.
People perceptions of things change.
The B, in B-Boy stands for break, because the bboy breaks out to the music.
it was a term coined specifically for people who breakdance (using the word only for illustration)
It was used specifically to them, because only the bboy break out to the break of a record, every other style uses the whole track.
Anyone that says it means "boogie boy" or "bronx boy" is quite simply wrong.
It doesn't matter how many people say that is what it means, they aren't right.
Peace
