I see wat ur getting at...maybe u should start a topic to discuss like
(favorite scriptures and why) or (how long have you been saved) or even (how does bboying adds to the kingdom of heaven in your life, like is it just recreational or is it a tool for you to win souls for Jesus? maybe its a way of praise and worship). ok last one how could we as Christians come together and witness through this site more effectively? if there are aany other topics, questions please state them here because 9 times out of 10 someone else has the same question or topic...and if there are any answers please lay em out.... to all humans Christian or not I encourage you to reply bcuz i notice even hot threads can go dull quick. ~BreeZ~ |

This thread is not for apologetical debate over the existence of God. If you have questions about the faith than ask, but please don't bash our's. Let's be respectful. Forgive me.

im not bashing, i used to believe in god like a lot.
but faith changes for now im taking a break from christ, kinda seems bs too me atm. first service i went to after awhile the sermon was about how people lose faith because they get hurt by church or pastors or have bad experiences. thats how i feel atm. if god exisit why do people die from diseases why is he starving kids in africa etc. |

ohh I see, well how did the sermon exactly make you feel?
The world's conditions are not as bad as they could be. If God left things alone then we all would be dead. God created the world and made man. He 'passed the keys' to man and then man lost them to satan. Which is why so many things are wrong. |

Pain/Suffering exists as a result of the free will God has given man. We took that gift and choose to stray away from God in our pride. Another thing you should ask yourself is why are their so many people who have the ability to help those starving, who yet do nothing.... We tend to blame God for the problems in the world when we need only look into a mirror. We are all (especially myself) responsible for the conditions in which we live. I would question the means in which you are basing your faith or lack of it on. Faith in something which is beyond this world, should not be based on the conditions of this world.
Suffering is also a way that God gets our attention. For years I lived as a staunch atheist, and if it was not for a time of immense struggle in my life I would have never found Christ. As CS Lewis beautifully put it: But pain insists upon being attended to. God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: it is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world. Their are literally hundreds of books that address this subject, but I hope those few words will suffice. I understand your confusion and how you may be feeling. It took me a long time after I became a Christian to really acquire faith. I felt like God was abandoning me and would often feel as if the prayers I often said were being heard by noone. The important thing is that we ENDURE. He will help you through all things. God has a plan for your life, put your faith in him and he will never lead you astray. I pray that you will turn back to Christ. He is and always will be waiting with open arms. May he have mercy on us all... |

Please read that quote before posting. I will not hesitate to hand out infractions or temp-bans if you attempt to refute someone's beliefs disrespectfully in a thread that is not meant to incite debate.
