thats deep man, but you really cant expect every new bboy or bgirl to come up with their own moves. i guess thats where the style come in. i six step chair freeze indian step, all that jazz, the basics and a little more, but its really your own when you add style. nobody does my sixstep like me or my variations. otherwise it wouldnt be MY style it'd be alot of peoples. im lucky to be as you say "educated" and make stuff my own, nobody wants to see bite after bite :P i gotta thank my friends for that

It is important to know these key teachings.. Because like homeboy said this is an art form of expression through dance. The word art screams creativity our God given blessed gift to create as he did. When all we do is imitate we are burying that gift. Everyone has to learn the basics, a foundation, so imitating a bit is necessary. Once we have a foundation then it's time to create.

Go and make disciples.

P.s. Maybe you might not agree with this, but a Bboy who can only do power-moves isn't breakin' they are gymnast. Bboyin' is a dance.. plain and simple facts it's a Dance.. So if you go out and can only do power, you are not dancing.. Now those power-moves may be tight and dope, but dancing is key. That's why a Bboy with mostly just style gets more props from other Bboys, then a Gymnast.
So I encourage any Bboy who is a power-move junky. Don't stop doing powermoves.. Just start dancing too.
no, what you described and gymnastics are two different things.
don't lump the two together, it's annoying

I'm a styler with a little bit of power, but i like hitting beats and doing funky things more haha. I'm working on power but not as much as style.

about creativeness...uhh that backfired on me

..judges think I had no foundation xD since i simply chose not to do some foundational moves...and they tell me to be creative once i'm good, since i'm highly judged by the dificulty i put in only a few of my videos in which they still think of me as a nooby, but im not gonna post every single vid of me in this site -_-

Do NOT segregate power from style, just because it's easier
