Stylehead but has powerhead body? -
07-11-2009, 02:29 AM
Yeah...im into style cuz iLOVE toprock and like being creative.
But im not sure if i should add some power also cuz my teacher says i have the body for it. Im one of the short pinoy dudes who make pushups look easy. (Push ups are hella easy for me cuz im so small) He says iWont have to carry as much weight as others do if ido crazy powerhead moves.(My teacher is a powerhead) So what should iDo? |

Do whatever you want. But, don't limit yourself to just style or just power. You need both, among other things

power+style = best stylehead, theres a limit to hitting the beat with basic footwork and foundation. Add the power and ull get ultimate style. Don't limit yourself to anything.

That'd be wack to explore bboying in it's entirety. Stick with style, and don't mix the two.

Toprock and footwork are not synonyms for style. "..But I never pre-heat, I toss the pizza right in the oven and say, 'Pre-heat this, bitch'.." |

why is this a problem for you, woudn't it be better just to have both power AND style?
|
|
Do NOT segregate power from style, just because it's easier

Of course it is, haha... It's a dumb question in the first place- the answer should be obvious. It's basically the same as asking if you should become a better bboy.
And to add something, sure some people have bodies that could potentially have an easier time with power, but I've seen all types of bodies hit all kinds of power. So your build shouldn't decide how you dance- you should decide how you dance. |

not really, for powermoves is so much harder for tall people to gain momentum to do large, dynamic moves such as airtracks and such. I should know cuz i'm 184 cm and whenever i do airtracks, i hear that i'm slow as shit even though i'm going as fast i can.
