I'm a very tall b-boy. I'm 6"3 and I feel inferior to shorter b-boys, because being tall and lanky makes all of my moves more visible, so if I mess up it looks way more noticeable than when a short b-boy messes up.
I love b-boying, but I always feel awkward.. am I alone? |

no ones ever alone. i can see what your saying cuz your frame makes everything look big with your wingspan and long legs. But once you get better it wont matter anymore. Messing up is messing up. I dont care if your as small as a mouse or as goofy as a giraffe. You shouldnt feel inferior to someone cuz you think you look worse crashing, cuz you dont.

i feel you im not that tall but lanky i am forsure im about 5'10-11" ish ya kno
and its just a matter of cleaning your moves like i always try to master the things i learn before i move on. watch yourself in the mirror and get used to the way your body moves. or just get really really buff so you have the same body type as the smaller bboys lol |

Just train harder if you feel that way. You gotta be comfortable with yourself. I'm only 5'4 but I make all the moves I do look big haha.

Just like anything, there will be advantages and disadvantages to this as well. I think that with longer limbs there is more movement available with little effort (a tall person can cover more ground with their stride)and more lockish moves and combinations that you can throw in if you're coordinated. Most dope bboys that i've met are considerably short, but it's time for something new, right.

I'm 14 and 6'2".
My joints are all fucked up now because of my bboying and I dislocated my knee twice in rapid succession, so I am letting my body catch up to itself while I take a break. |

"heres a tip: i like to make lots of sets. to see what flows, i just think, "Do a random toprock!" so i do that. next i go, "do a footwork!" and i try to flow well into it. next, i think, "do a _____!" and i do that, making sure it flows.
do that for awhile."-Gloves |

Mate its a gift, your height. i'm 6" (exactly). yeah and i got long legs.
When i started my footwork looked...wrong, but with practice i've cleaned it up and cus i'm quite big i can emphasise moves better. being big just makes basic moves look more prominent and if your clean, Dope. |
