Flat Palms & Footwork

Has anyone ever noticed that Lilou does all of his footwork with his palms flat on the floor?

I just thought it was kind of interesting, because I know that there are tons of threads in these forums about "how to do footwork", and the finger-tips/inner-knuckles technique is always chosen over flat palms. I think Lilou's style is pretty dope so... Maybe flat-palmedness shouldn't be so condemned?

I think he does use palms most of the time, but you can see him sometimes using his inner knuckles.... like at 0:23.

As for doing footwork on palms, I do so...
My fingers felt like they had arthritis everytime I tried to use my inner knuckles... mostly because I never bent my fingers that way before (I crack my knuckles by bending them inwards, not out).

Footwork gotcha down??

I think that's why I find his style so interesting because using your palms is THAT much harder when it comes to fluidity or speed, in my experience anyway. And yet his footwork appears effortless and smooth.

i dnt think it rly matters..... i've seen a lot of pro bboys use their palms, nd have crazy sick footwork!! it's just preference......i've always used my inner knuckles since i started bcuz it felt and came more natural..... now that i think bout it.... i dnt think i have ever attempted footwork on my palms.... O_o

The common misconception about using your inner knuckles versus flat palms is that one is completely better than the other. That's not true, both ways have their advantages.
