alright, so i was talking to my principal about the possibilty of starting a bboy/dance group. so he really listens to it, and really gives support. so at the end of our lil meeting, he tells me that it is a great idea. lol, this aint no FML story, srry guys
, anyways, he asks me to give like a formal letter with all that paragraphs and shit. so i was like yea, and i already ahve 20 signatures and a sponser, lol but im having a WRITERS BLOCK!! i dont know what to write. Please help me...So this was what i was thinking of writing. I wanted to talk about how bboying will introduce another self of another person. It can allow people to truly express them selves in the art of music and rhytm. and its gonna be about how people can finally understand value of music, and etc. "Dance to express, not to impress" <--- that will prob be my ending sentence or something like that. so my thesis? lets see well i dont think it should be that formal LMAO, so ill guess ill try to explain about the passion and expression that comes with breakdancing, wow, i prtty much got my writer's block out of the way now... lol, anyways i still need your support, help the FITTED CRU!!! AHH, and ermm... have fun! catc in the rye ers!! lol wtf.oaky, so im not finished yet... btw, my crew name is Fitted Cru, lol, as in we wear hats amd stuff.. nvm. okay so yea thanks for the support, and i wrote alot more than i ecprected, so im sorry. and bboy for the love of music!!! i lvoe you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sweet idea, hope it gets passed. As for suggestions...maybe another thing like about how bboying motivates people to strive to a higher level and tests people's determination and self-perserverance and self-confidence. Hahah i dont know, but thats how i see it. You got good points too! like the quote! oh yeah, physical benefit: it tunes up your body!...haha good luck!

Dear My. Galante,
In addition to our previous letter, here is our final proposal for our desire to start a bboy club. To start out with, everyone is familiar with the following quote, “Dress to impress” and I completely agree 1000%. However, in breakdancing, it’s, “Dance to express, not to impress,” and this quote is very meaningful to committed dancers. Dancing isn’t one of those “street hopelessness”, but a special way of socializing and expressing yourself. There is a little history behind it as well. Hopefully, the following reasons will persuade you. Breakdancing isn’t just a hobby, isn’t just a talent, but something everyone could be proud of. When people age, they lose that ability. Break dancing is a way to express yourself through the style of music and rhythm. It also presents an opportunity to motivate dancers to strive to a higher level and tests people’s determination and self-perseverance and self-confidence. Bboying introduces a whole another person that has been open because of bboying. Since it creates determination and confidence, there will be changes in the way people act and socialize. People will be physically and meantally improving. Because bboying also has a physical benefit, people can benefit physically from dancing. The “street dancing” can have many benefits that range from physical improvements and more self-confidence. Please consider, and think about how bboying can benefit everyone. Breakdancing also has a history. Breakdancing seems so different from all other kinds of dancing that the first question people ask when they see it is: "Where did these kids learn to dance like that?" To many people, this dance seems to have come out of nowhere. But like everything else, Breakdance did come from somewhere, something and someone. In the case of Breakdancing, the someone is the great superstar, James Brown, and the something is the dance, the Good Foot. In 1969, when James Brown was getting down with his big hit "Get on the Good Foot" the Hustle was the big dance style of the day. High Energy. This almost acrobatic dance was appropriately enough known as the lot of kids around New York City. The Good Foot, which was soon to be called B-Boy and shortly after that Breakdancing, or Breaking, was very different from the Breaking we see today. In some ways it was simpler. There were no Head spin. No Windmill. No Hand glides or Backspins. It was what is now called old-style Breaking. Old-Style Breaking consisted only of floor work, or Floor Rock, and in a way it was more complex than modern Breaking. There may be some small variations on the Head spin and a Backspin, but basically, a Head spin is a head spin and a Backspin is a back spin. But Floor Rock can involve some extremely complicated leg moves, and it is done very fast. And it did not take long before where were a lot of Breakdancing battles happening. I learned a lot when researching the history of bboying such as the renaissance of Harlem and so forth, and I am sure the others as well. In conclusion, with the following reason, we really advise you, as our principal, to consider creating a bboy club, for our generation, our future generation and so forth. Thank you for your time as well, and we completely understand if you decline. It will give us all the more reason to try harder next year! ![]() BAM FINISHED |
