Crew question? - 03-31-2009, 03:58 AM

So I want to make a crew with some friends, people that I am close to and can say whatever I want and whatnot, but there's this other crew around me, and they are good, well better than me and most bboys around my school. Their leader asked me how do I feel about joining their crew, and he told me to just session with them sometime. I actually want to get better, but the problem is that I am nowhere close to these people. Sure I know them, but I honestly doubt I will be attached like family like how they are. There people in this crew are like hella close to each other, and i will be the only one different. thier leader kinda recommended me to join, but some people there are not cool with me either.

So, what should I do?

lol contradicting right there. stick to the people you feel more comfortable with. you can always have a joint sesh with the other guys. its not like theyre gonna kill you for not joining them right? haha

practice doesnt make you perfect, it makes you better

You could try to feel out the other crew that recommended you and if you don't feel where you belong, then you should know what to do... The other option is just to go with your good mates because a crew can be only created if everyone is in unity with each other to be honest in the other crew the people who don't like you might make it living hell and you guys won't be able to cooperate very well leaving it a very useless crew.

stick with what works best, in this case, keep bboying with your friends. if you join the "better" crew you will just have pressure on yourself to get really good really fast. try to make a crew with your buddies and dont worry about your skills so much.

it all depends on what you want to do with your dancing. if you want to improve quickly go with the other crew. if you want to have fun with your friends stick with them
