Thanks for the love Victor!!! Thats the #1 compliment I get, clean footwork. Well after I had been breaking for about 2 years, I started recording myself quite a bit. I decided that my fundamentals were lacking so I went back and did nothing but 6 steps, sweeps, and CC's. You can drive yourslef crazy if you watch yourself too much, and you will just think everything sucks, but it worked for me.
As for technical stuff, theres a few things that Im always stressing in the footwork section, such as never let your heels touch the floor (heel of your feet and your hands) , sit on your ankles, have your knees pointed forward, look forward instead of at the floor, in the back, have bowed legs. There's quite a few things, make sure you check out Machines videos that I posted in the Move Guides, he covers most of this stuff in a lot of detail. I was actually thinking of making a few of my own footwork instructionals sometime down the road.. But the best way I could help you is if you posted a video of yourself, and I could critique it. |
