Few people truly respect and understand bboys, but that's because its a foreign culture. They are ignorant of it because it's foreign, just like everyone here is probably ignorant of some culture. And the stereotypes come from what little exposure they have of bboys through the mainstream and the media, who only use what they can capitalize on, ie headspins, windmills, airflares, etc.

Ignorance I can tolerate, but disrespect is another story...
