When multiple members of the same crew enter a competition... -
02-17-2009, 09:09 PM
This happens alot in toronto, where a crew enters a competition with multiple teams. Example, there was a 2 vs 2 battle around new years, and one crew split up and made 3 teams of 2 and another crew made 2 teams of 2. In the end, although there were plenty of other crews, 1 of the teams from each of those aforementioned crews made it to the finals. In your mind, is this fair? I kinda don't. I think its unfair that a crew can just do a competition sweep like that. There should be some rule stating that only 2 members of ONE entire crew should enter. If it is a 1 vs 1 battle I feel differently, but for some reason this matter just bothers me. Thoughts?

i understand where your comming from and i agree but the other members probably watned to compete as well not fair that 2v2 limits two people per crew even if other ppl in the crew want to battle.

yeah that seems cheap because then the whole crew gets the reconization for winning the comp. there should be a grou[p but maybe with exceptions like honorary members or something like super crew if it was like ben and murda vs ronnie and rockadile [kuncklehead zoo vs full force]

I understand where you are coming from, but if the judges are legit, then if the team of 2 isn't strong enough to work up the brackets, then they would be eliminated by another team of 2 that is stronger. If you think probability wise that if you throw enough teams of 2 at the competition, then one of them will win, that might be correct. But I don't think that will be the case if the judges are fair.
But yes, I would think it would by far be more fair if a crew were only allowed to elect one 2vs2 team. That 2vs2 team being the strongest 2 members of the crew that are present. |

ya it sucks i dont agree wit more than 2 groups from the same crew but i mean it happens it sucks and it happens where i live too but normally one of them doesnt make it and sometimes the judges try and make them battle each other before the finals so that its fairer lol i think thats the word

I can see your problem but I don't think it's that big of a problem. As long as you have good, unbiased judges (like NiSenNen said) the best group of two will win. I don't think you should punish crew members by not letting them battle because it's "unfair" to have more than one group from the same crew representing. Those two teams made the finals because the judges thought they were the best not because they had more than one squad entered from the same crew.

who cares... if theyre good, then they deserve to be up there... i'd only complain if there were limited spots and they all sucked, or if judging was rigged, but other than that it's fine..
