02-14-2009, 11:04 PM
Sorry if this is posted somewhere else but I need a bigger variety of songs to break to. Who is your favorite artist to break to?
*EDIT* or DJ's that you like? |

I don't break to music by artist, I break to remixes from DJ's
But the only good artist I know is Eric B and Rakim |

Old school 90's hip hop, like Big L, Lord Finesse, Busta Rhymes (although most of his tracks are hard to break to). This song, for example, is a tight song to dance to:

James Brown!!
Other artists/bands I like are The Bamboos, Brownout, Lack of Afro, Lefties Soul Connection (they're sick when playing live), Cooking on 3 Burners I also like the mixtapes by DJ Cut nice, and the beats produced by Mr. Wiggles |

check out the music forums. there's a huge forum called Upload Your Beats! Alot to Download. it's got tons of breaks on there and you can definitely find some stuff that you like. you can't get the music direct from the site anymore, but you would probably be able to find it on other stuff like Limewire, imeem, or jamglue.com.

Yup James Brown pretty much sums it up, but that includes his whole entourage thats included when you say his name. Like Bobby Bird, Lynn Collins, the Meters, the JBs and more. Another group that has quite a few songs I can get down to is Rare Earth.
