Help with BBOYING ESSAY -

So, I'm writing about how bboying influences my life, for my common app essay(due in like 7 months).
I just started brainstorming today, so I don't have much, but this is what I have so far. I want to make it general enough so that the reader would understand, so my main points I wanna hit is : The concept of making life an art, just as bboying is an art Enjoying life+bboying culture "“Do your thing, believe in yourself, and respect others” No biting, being yourself. if anyone could add more to expand upon, that'll be great. thanks pce |

the things you've listed also don't have anything to do with how it influences your life..it's just random info about bboying.. |

thats right. make sure you're talking about how bboy has changed YOU. what it means to YOU. don't write it like you're doing an encylopedia entry. Colleges want to know about YOU.

Don't write the essay if you don't know how it influences your life.
Because clearly, if you can't expand on it yourself, it hasn't influenced your life. |

Just bust out some talk about the daulity of life, between analytical and emotional using a metaphor of how you learn a move and put your flavour to it, it is almost a gradient from analytical to emotional. than slowly bring a link to that and how school only teaches you analytical things and that is why the system is broken and why you didn't finish your essay.
