as much as the movie may be inspiring it's a watered down version of what bboying is to those who aren't familiar with it, only because this is based round BOTY 2005. If you watch The Freshest Kids it has a better insight into bboying i think

the freshest kids was about the history of bboying while planet bboy focused on the bboys themeselves. Both where great at what they focosed at. None is better than the other.

Don't forget about "Inside the Circle"
That's also a really good documentary about the bboys themselves. Catch it on youtube. |

This sort of gives you the perspective that bboying is DEFINETLY not just in the US. I think the Freshest kids go deep in the roots of bboying, but Planet Bboy shows bboys across the Globe. I recommend both to anyone with some spare time.

Before i watched planet bboy i had already seen ichigeki's showcase and now when i watched planet bboy and watch their showcase again i felt like tearing up. Such emotion was poured into katsu's last set, i now understand bboying takes alot of sacrifice then i had expected. Sigh i just wish ichegeki didnt disband b/c they are my ultimate inspiration to bboying.

Most of the members from Ichigeki are still around and battle together. Katsu and Quick are both in the Kyoto Bboy Club and have been participating in battles pretty recently.
