Splits in sets? - 12-19-2008, 02:33 PM

Latley ive been trying to incorpeate splits into my sets. Not a full splits just the one where ur back leg is bent behind you. I can sort of go down but my only problem is getting back up.......any advice?

I used to put those splits in my sets Back when I was a helicopter fan. I had some funny spin where I twisted over the straight leg in front of me and went into barrels x_X but I don't really remember what it was.

Sorry. Bit of a pointless comment : P

I'll get round to thinking up a signature later.

it's not that hard to incorporate.

as for sliding back up... just try it a few times. youll get it. there's no supersecret or anything. just slide on the inside of your back shoe. you dont need slippery shoes. ive done it on concrete

thanks for the advice guys. But yeh ive done it into footwork but i really just wanna do it in my toprock sets. Sort of like toprock, split,comeup,more toprock:P

is it this those Locking Splits? Well i use them too !

Try to bounce al little before you pull together your Feet that way you gain enough Momentum to get back up

Ive actually heard the split reffered to as a "guy split" or a "james brown" its alot easier than a full split lol

jazz splits?

easier way to practice getting up from it, just use your hands slightly to push or tap yourself. you'll get up way easier like that.

its not that hard to do
