That may be part of it, and it is a good part. Yet, Alien Ness doesn't practice, are you going to tell him He's not a B-boy? Practice makes perfect, but it does not make you a B-boy. A breakdancer can practice all day every day, still being a breakdancer.

So, what if you break to more electro and techno beats. i don't mean trance but ya know. does that make him a breakdancer not a bboy? and dancing to the new modern so called hip hop we have on the radio now...does that make you a bboy if u live you life around lil wayne and tpain music.? just wondering not hating...i'm actually curious.

A breakdancer is someone knows little about hip hop culture. They practice just like a bboy, but it's planned out choreography. They do it to impress people and make money.
A bboy is someone who understands hip hop culture. Saying deovted is an akward word because it would mean you breath hiphop 24/7. Bboys practice, but they do it to get better, not to impress people or to make money. For example : In a cypher, a breakdancer would fail because they have no originality because all their moves are planned out to a specific song. . A bboy would win because he he can just go in and freestyle it. Thats my understanding of what a bboy is. I could be right, or i could be completly wrong, but I'm still here to learn. |
