The official HOW TO DRESS LIKE A BBOY thread -
11-22-2008, 03:25 AM
Many of you are wondering and many of you are asking, How do you dress as a bboy?
Step one - The outfit: You are ONLY allowed to wear urban styled clothing. Especially clothing that has to do with hip hop and bboying. You can NOT wear preppy clothing for that is for preps, You are a bboy so you better represent. Clothing that have bboys, grafitti, or anything music related is welcome but not limited to. Anything that has nothing to do with hip hop will only get you laughed at. Only exception is if you want to go old school and wear a matching adidas track suit with a kangol hat. Step two - The shoes: You're only allowed to wear Converse Chuck Taylor All-Stars. (Please see mason_boy's closet for example) Step three - The gear: Helmets, elbow/knee pads, and sweatbands are for pussies and posers. Wear any of the following to a jam and prepared to be made fun of all night. The ONLY head gear you are allowed to wear are beanies and trucker caps. Everything else is either gay or against bboy clothing regulations. Hope you all realized that I'm joking. There is NO way to dress as a bboy. Bboying is what you do and who you are, not how you dress. I dont wear chucks, i dont wear beanies, i dont wear anything that has bboying or hip hop on it. I go to the mall and i never say to my friends "hey what stores do you want to go to? We have preppy clothes, skater clothes, and bboy clothes". Bboying is what you do, not how you dress. Last i checked bboying wasn't a clothing style or a way you dressed. As far as gear, wear whatever you want. If you feel comfortable wearing a helmet then go ahead, no ones going to make fun of you and say your headspins are only good because of it. Who gives a fuck? Want to wear elbow and knee pads? Go right a-fucking-head, why? Because it's better to be safe when doing a move than to bust your shit and never be able to dance again. It is non of ANYONES business how you dress or what you wear. When it comes to the "right" gear, the right one is the one you choose. This is how i dress, do i "look" like a bboy? Many of you will probably say no. Bboyin is what i do, not how i dress. Suck on my sexy pose while you're at it ![]() |

^ i think to make people realise that there is no strict way a bboy should dress... and that everyone has a style that is unique to them.
and that would answer a lot of questions asked on this forum such as "what shoes do i wear?" "what is some bboy clothing?" or anything along those lines... |

Because asianxromeo is insecure and felt the need to assert his self.
Nah just playing. I dunno. Maybe he is bored. |

AsianXRomeo seems to making threads that answer common questions lately. Maybe it's becoming his thing.
