Ahahahahahah. That made me reminisce about the time this year when I wore a shirt with suspenders and plaid pants hiked all the way to my bellybutton after I had been invited to a highschool homecoming. Everybody thought I was all geeky but then I started bboying in the middle of the dance floor and everyone was like "HOLY WHUTTUFUX!?"

Luckily, I traded the pants with suspenders for jeans and put the sleeves up on the shirt. It looked moderately badass.

I live by the words of my now-deceased grandfather: "Get the fuck out of my kitchen before I stuff that Nutella up your ass."

My dream is to be a quotable, legendary guy. Like MaDD or Desi Boogie or something.

D--What's with the Guevara avi?
Me--I start a lot of beef.

truth is if you love hip hop culture you should promote & support it cats like cros1 tryna make a living out of promoting it the right way and you should be helping people like that out, think of all the events those cats throw and judge and shit support the culture go out and spend your money on something thats gonna get used to help something you love, dont have to spend your shit on dickies or the newest nikes or whatever the fuck but make a effort to support the real hip hop you dont have to dress like anything to be a bboy but if you really care about the shit ya'll on this forum for you should put your money to some use other than helping corporate companys abuse people in sweatshops PEACE

also 1 other point, truth is if u aint lookin fresh people aint gonna take you seriously as sad as that seems think of the business world if you lookin like some raggidy mothafucka in a 10 year old tracksuit and some beat up trainers and theres a dude in a 4 thousand dollar suit lookin all nice that mothafucka aint gonna get shit even if he's got better skills, people make decisions within the first 3 seconds they see someone and that prejudice will effect there decision whether it be breaking or business that shit gonna stick around.

you've got a point in your first sentence, (no damn period) but your second point is iffy to me..

so what if people are prejudice... you shouldn't care whether or not they're judging you by looks.. THEY SHOULDN'T BUT SOME DO.

dressing shouldn't be an issue unless it comes to headspins because of beanies and helmets and stuff.

If you just express yourself, looks shouldn't matter. Being positive is just as good.

Step one - The outfit: You are ONLY allowed to wear urban styled clothing. Especially clothing that has to do with hip hop and bboying. You can NOT wear preppy clothing for that is for preps, You are a bboy so you better represent. Clothing that have bboys, grafitti, or anything music related is welcome but not limited to. Anything that has nothing to do with hip hop will only get you laughed at. Only exception is if you want to go old school and wear a matching adidas track suit with a kangol hat.

Step two - The shoes: You're only allowed to wear Converse Chuck Taylor All-Stars. (Please see mason_boy's closet for example)

Step three - The gear: Helmets, elbow/knee pads, and sweatbands are for pussies and posers. Wear any of the following to a jam and prepared to be made fun of all night. The ONLY head gear you are allowed to wear are beanies and trucker caps. Everything else is either gay or against bboy clothing regulations.

Hope you all realized that I'm joking. There is NO way to dress as a bboy. Bboying is what you do and who you are, not how you dress. I dont wear chucks, i dont wear beanies, i dont wear anything that has bboying or hip hop on it. I go to the mall and i never say to my friends "hey what stores do you want to go to? We have preppy clothes, skater clothes, and bboy clothes". Bboying is what you do, not how you dress. Last i checked bboying wasn't a clothing style or a way you dressed.

As far as gear, wear whatever you want. If you feel comfortable wearing a helmet then go ahead, no ones going to make fun of you and say your headspins are only good because of it. Who gives a fuck? Want to wear elbow and knee pads? Go right a-fucking-head, why? Because it's better to be safe when doing a move than to bust your shit and never be able to dance again. It is non of ANYONES business how you dress or what you wear. When it comes to the "right" gear, the right one is the one you choose.

This is how i dress, do i "look" like a bboy? Many of you will probably say no. Bboyin is what i do, not how i dress. Suck on my sexy pose while you're at it
wow this was stupid.. theres no guideline to how bboy dress. bboying isnt about dressing you tard. bboy is dancing. not a fashion statement. and your picture looks like some idiot Ë BOY crap trying to be something your not. if your a bboy dont worry about how you look be more attentive to how your performance in the dance is. i've seen guys where hollister and look like they've got nothing to do with break dancing yet they bust air tracks .
