Exclamation Help me with my windmill! - 08-07-2008, 03:31 PM

I just started breakdancing around the middle of april last year, this summer
i was trying to learn how to Windmill, in the following video i am wondering
if you guys/girls can tell me what i am doing wrong or right instead of just
telling me to look at Jwangs windmill thread right off the bat. The help is
appreciated ty.

PS: I can hold the spider/hand-glide freeze easily -.- and since my
comp is extremely slow when i comes to uploading i will only be posting a link.
sorry

Well i see that your landing a little low on your back. Try to land higher on your back and while your in that position, try and kick your left leg more towards your head. This will help elevate your hips when you're coming back to the handglide position. In a regular windmill, your hips are never touching the ground. Other than that you have a good start =]

Neepsterz Crew

I finally decided to go w/ a bboy name that better suits me. Bboy Shadow Vigilante . I chose this because "vigilante", i have a vigilante attitude, and "shadow", i kinda like dark themes...but not too dark to be emo =]

If you have questions, you can aim me, its Bboy Neepsterz (Im sometimes on =])

Or if you're more formal, you can pm me here or email me at Shadowvigilante@live.com ... sry if its a little long

Work on the collapse before trying to restab, get a perfect collapse down you seem to be doing it right try swinging a little harder and you should be able to get onto your shoulder. And for the record it's bboying, not breakdancing.

"If you are like earth you can rock, but cannot flow, if you are fire you can burn but cannot last , if you are like water you can flow, but cannot fly. Be the wind for it flows freely, it lasts joyfully, and it flies majestically."

How exactly do i do a perfect collapse? Do i just practice going into handglide position and make my legs go into v-position in air and collapse o.o and.. make
sure that when I do it, it should be painless?

im not especially good about teaching about the collapse, im sure there are guides and tips on this site but when you do a good collapse, its supposed to be relatively painless because its a rolling motion onto your shoulders and upper back.
