question about wrist positioning - 10-02-2006, 07:50 AM

when u collapse and restabbing, where should ur fingers point to collapse properly? cuz sumtimes I feel that I might break my wrist while collapsing

i think the finger must point against your direction,in other words,point behind.

When you start from handspin position, point your fingers backwards (to your feet). Then you make a good first swing. When you're doing windmills, point them to the side and not to your feet. If you get better point them to the front (upwards to your face), this forces your legs to swing harder..

i dunno if this thread is dead or not, but heres my 2cents. hand positioning doesnt really matter. the actual collapse to your shoulder only happens with your posting hand's fingers pointed forward or up or whatever you want to call it. the only thing is that at the start of the collapse, hand positioning determines how much your body will rotate in a circle during the mill. if you begin with your hand pointed back then throughout the proccess of the collapse, your body has to rotate around a lot as compared to if you dont have it pointed so far back
