w indmill problems: muscle memory, head -

ok, so i have my 2 mill rotations down
but for ONE DAY i didnt practice them, and so i forgot how to do 2 millz again
and now i can do 2 millz again
how do i prevent this from happening again?
AND
when i mill, i practically slam my head into the ground when my body faces down. for now, i'm practicing on carpet, so it duznt hurt THAT much, but when i practice in my skewl's gym, i get banged up.
WHAT should i do?
