How to start the mill, unique - 07-29-2004, 04:03 AM

The way I learned how to start a mill was by doing something called a turntable, I've sort of got a turntable down, but all the guides keep saying start in handglide position, I was just wondering if someone could tell me if doing a turntable is okay or not, or if you have to start in handglide position. It'll be a drag if turntable isn't okay, cause i've almost got them down (although sometimes I don't roll high enough on my back and i crash down on my hip, ow, its bruised pretty bad so i'll probably have to wait a week or so before i try again)

My tricks

oh ya, i haven't got any....

WRONG, it is a move. But it will be longer and harder to learn from turntable cause its just annoying... handglide is way easier. and if u cant do handglide, then you can do turntable because on both you have to stab and collapse. So I suggest you start from handglide, its not starting over, its just learning it the right way.

if you want to combo your mills easier keep learning from turntable. If you dont care, and just want to get your mills down fast, switch to handglide. I learned from turntable, i dont see a problem with it. It helped me combo my mills a lot easier.

yo....hey banshee i can do a mill -ah.....

do it from handglide....and roll really high!!!-roll ROLL HIGH HIGH man!!!yes ROLL HIGH!!!

at first time put your head onto the ground- cause then u at all events on your upper back and roll high!!!
the first time your shoulder should hurt- not to bad but u should feel that u roll above your shoulder!!!

that helped me....this is really simple but it takes me alot time and practice!!!

!!! nothing else !!!

even though im new to this whole thing i think you should stay on what you are doing. i think it will be better if you learn it your way, in the long run.

turntable is pretty much the same as handglide. your just turn over a little and you'd be in handglide position. you'll get mre momentum from turntable if you practice it enough.

backspins are harder from turntable, but who the hell does backspins? The reason being, from turntable, its harder to collapse higher on your back, so you have to shift from your mid back to your upper back, which kills your momentum.

so a tabletop is like startin mills from the final step of a 3 step.
then tabletop is like a handglide started other way so it doesnt matter how do u start ur mills.
